Plan your visit to The Bellarine Railway, located on The Bellarine, 40 minutes east of Geelong in Victoria
Our train services and special events currently depart from Queenscliff Station only – 20 Symonds (bottom of Hesse) Street, Queenscliff
Arrive in plenty of time to collect your tickets from the booking office and prepare to board the train and enjoy a scenic journey.
Passengers can BYO food and non-alcoholic drinks.

Geelong and The Bellarine offers a variety of accommodation types to suit everyone’s taste and budget. Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale accommodation offers the chance to be within walking distance of the railway, cafes and restaurants, shops, beaches and other attractions.
Queenscliffe Visitor Information Centre
Speak to the volunteers and get the ‘locals’ knowledge about places to eat, activities and accommodation options.
Travelling To Our Stations
From Melbourne – take the M1 Princes Freeway to Geelong then follow route from Geelong below.
From Geelong – take either the B110 to Queenscliff or C123 to Drysdale.
Searoad Ferries operates daily service between Sorrento and Queenscliff – call (03) 5257 4500. The Queenscliff Station is around a 12-minute walk away from the Queenscliff Station.
Port Phillip Ferries operates daily between Docklands and Portarlington – call (03) 9514 8959. Transport to Drysdale or Queenscliff Stations may be arranged with Fergos Bongo VIP Tours – call 0419 345 147
By public transport:
Trains run regularly between Melbourne and Geelong – please see timetable here – https://www.ptv.vic.gov.au/route/view/1745
McHarry’s operate regular bus services from the Geelong Station to Drysdale and Queenscliff – call (03) 5223 2111
Other Helpful Info
Tea, coffee, soft drinks, snacks, ice creams and a range of souvenir items are available at Queenscliff and Drysdale Stations.
Male, female and disabled toilets are provided at both Queenscliff and Drysdale Stations. Due to the heritage nature of our carriages toilets are not available onboard.
A ramp is available upon request. Please call the office during business hours to arrange.
Bicycles can be carried (at the owner’s risk) in the Guards van on each train.
Access to the Queenscliff Workshops:
The workshop area is restricted to authorised persons only. Members of the public are welcome to visit the facility but must be accompanied at all times by a Bellarine Railway member. Entry is at the visitor’s own risk.
All donations are gratefully accepted and any donation to the Museum Fund over $2 is Tax deductible
